2007 Garnet Ember G35x Tint Help!!
I want to get tints on my g. I'm not sure how dark to go though. I live in CT and dont wanna have to take them off if i get a ticket. I was thinking 20% front sides, 15% back sides and 5% on the rear.
I'm also thinking about gettin the windshield done, what percentage? any thoughts?

Its illegal to get your windshield done.
Also get the same % all around or it will look stupid.
I have 25% all around and have never had any trouble at all. The law here is 28%.
I kinda regret not doing 15% sometimes, but 25% is pretty good looking. It won't give you that "I can't tell if someone is even in that car effect" like 15% will though.

If you have black interior 20% or 25% will look great. I sometimes get a little frustrated with the 15% during the night...makes it hard to see.
I do agree though, go the same percentage on all windows. If you have to go lighter on the front two windows, at the very least do your back three windows the same percentage.
Dont touch the windshield.

If you do not abide by the laws that you clearly already know, you get what you ask for.
Go as dark as you want. Sooner or later, it may come back and haunt you.
Nobody knows for sure if you are going to get nabbed for illegal tint and asking a forum full of people what they think, and then going by their word that you won't get hassled is just silly, IMO.
I followed the laws in MA simply to avoid the potential of having to be fined, remove it and have it redone.
Make your own decision.

ask your doctor to give you a sunshade waiver to file through DMV. Make up some crap to your doctor that you get migraines in bright sun light. If you got a sunshade waiver, you can go darker than the legal limit, but you still have a limit. You could even get ur windshield tinted
Ive got one and I live in VA. the legal limit is 50% up front and 35% on the rear, no windhshield tinting.
with the waiver i can go 35% up front, 35% rear, and tint the windhshield @ 70%. but what I usually do is 20% on the back glass, 35% sides, 50% windshield.
