Any chance there's a water bottle in the door? Every damn time I put a water bottle in the holder there or something in that little cubby it does that exact same thing. Take it out, and no more rattle for me.

Add me to the list. I've been meaning to take it apart and look around, but I've been too busy.

Noise

Guys, make sure that there is nothing in the rear floor heater ducts...I had a marble rolling back and forth in the duct, IT SOUNDED just like it was in the door panel. Just FYI.

I had this rattle in the driver's side and passenger's side front doors when certain bass notes were hit. I found on both that, if I pinched the interior door handle (where you grab to close the door) between two fingers, the noise went away.

Before tearing it apart and causing more issues for a car under warranty, I explained this to the dealer and asked them to check it out. They said "fitment" is only covered for the first 90 days of the warranty. I explained this wasn't a fitment issue but a rattle that was clearly covered under the original warranty period. They balked, so I called Infiniti Customer Care (ICC). Though ICC needed to do some homework on coverage of rattles, they completely agreed that it was covered and called the dealer to explain.

The dealer tackled it (under warranty, thank you) and was able to correct the rattle. They explained (as someone here said earlier) that it was loose screws.

I haven't taken the doors apart to check which screws were loose (besides the dealer's), but based on my "pinch fix" above and joining of two colors of plastic in this area, I'm guessing there are screws holding two plastic panels together inside the door panel that came loose over time. Had this issue on a Prelude once as well.

Try pinching your door handle to see if that temporarily fixes it. If so, talk to the dealer (and maybe ICC).

If this is indeed the culprit, maybe some well-placed lines of epoxy would be a permanent fix.

I had this same issue, they ended up replacing the entire door panel and the rattling went away. They said it was something in the arm rest that the tech couldn't get to so they just replaced the whole panel.

+1. Have this issue too. Started after I got my windows tinted. I think the installer broke a couple of the plastic snaps that hold the door panel in place. I was going to get some spares from the dealer and open it up.

Anyone get a rattle in the left tweeter area while they are making a call and the other party's phone is ringing?

yea i did and i found the problem. In my case, I have a 07 g35 coupe and the glass bolt came loose. While driving, I always heard the rattling noise coming from the top to middle section of the door panel but the sound was actually the glass bracket and bolts itself.

make sure the bolts circled in red and green are tight. When you first remove the door panel, the holes will be covered by black circle stickers. Just peel them off and roll your glass down until you see those bolts. The one circled in green was my problem.

I'm out of warranty and the fix would cost anywhere from $143-221 but just to check it out the diagnostic charge is $79. When I slightly apply pressure to the door handle the rattle goes away and even when I bring the window down the rattle is eliminated... I'm going to take a look at it this weekend. I would normally give it to the dealer but its a bit much this time for such a minor fix. I've noticed with colder weather the sound is more persistent.

Mine came back after my car was fixed in the accident. Took it to dealer, they fixed it, tech description was 'door finisher rattling against door' fix was 'added insulation'. It's definately fixed now, that was driving me nuts. They also replaced me finishers as well anyways since they were all scratched up.

They did check for signs that someone had taken apart the door to see if they could blame it on someone else first, but they couldn't find any signs it was messed with so they fixed it under warranty.
