New to me G35S sedan owner, with questions.
This is my first real import car owning experience, so im kinda scared, but took the plunge anyway. Can anyone tell me what in the world I can do with the RCA jacks in the center console? I have tons of questions really, but I guess I'll start witht that one. Thanks in advance for any replys.

Hook up an MP3 player to listen to ur own muzik through the car's stereo. Hook up a portable DVD player or something with video playback output, and be able to watch it on that big *** screen up front, but only when it's in park.
Welcome to the forum. Before someone mentions it, feel free to use the search feature on top to answer most of the questions you'll have. Trust me if you can think of it, it has probably has been asked and answered before.
Enjoy!!

Welcome,
Congrats on your Import purchase.
I was a bit puzzled by your wording choice as I am not sure what you drove before, but to me the word import implies that you think Japanese cars or German cars are made in there respective countries. The Germans actually do make most of there stuff at home and ship it here to be put together.
Ironically enough many of the good old American made models have many parts not made in the USA. So I am pretty sure you have been driving a Canadian or Mexican import for years assuming you have been driving a Ford or GM product.
For example. Did you know that the following cars are actually made in Mexico to a large part? :
Cadillac Escalade EXT
2010 Cadillac SRX
Chevrolet Avalanche
Chevrolet HHR
Chevrolet Silverado
Chrysler PT Cruiser
Dodge Journey
Dodge Ram (heavy-duty versions)
Ford Fusion and Fusion Hybrid
GMC Sierra Crew Cab
Lincoln MKZ
Mercury Milan and Milan Hybrid
Just for your info here is a great link that shows that most "import" vehicles, such as the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are assembled and have their engines made in our own back yard i.e. KY or OH.
Here is the full link.

Here is another link that has a few Imports listed as being American made.

Good luck with your G!

You are right. If you read closely I said "to a large part."
But if you check the list your Silverado was put together in Flint, but has parts made in Mexico and Canada.
Sorry man but that is the world of international business we live in these days. Mexican/Canadian made Engine & Transmission parts put together in Flint MI.

I am guessing you have a 2007. Yeah they kinda dropped the ball that year for Ipod connectivity. If you do a search you may find some people with good solutions. I understand your frustration as that was one of the main reasons for buying the G --- getting a quick and easy Ipod connection.
In 2008 they actually put an Ipod port and chord in the car....
Good Luck.

I was simply pointing out that much like yourself he has probably been owning imports for a while with out even knowing it, and there is no real reason to be scared about imports as almost every car has outsourced parts that are imported these days.
