I have 110K on my 07 G35x. I bought the car with 95K in June, so it looks like I average about 30K a year. I am not too worried about modern cars anymore. They are made with modern manufacturing techniques and with higher tolerances. Now days with FEA being readily available for anyone to use, I am sure that automotive engineer try to design cars as reliable as possible to offset the cost of warranty work in the future. With routine maintenance modern cars will last you till 200K+ easy.

It makes sense to drive it everyday after putting the money into buying it. For those who bought it new, do you just keep it in the garage? It kind of sounds like a waist of money if it's just sitting there.

I didn't mean not use it, but alternate between a beater and the G. But I am guessing I am not getting a beater. I love my G, and will drive it everyday.

Bought mine in March 08 with 11 miles on it. it now has 29k. The first year I only drove 6k. Then I took a job with a commute, as well as road trips to SF - pushing my mileage up. But I've had zero mechanical issues - first time I can say that about any of my 44 cars. And - I've never had a car with this many miles.

I'm not worried about it - it's 90% as good as new...I've done mods, and will be buying it off my lease in March. Plan to keep it for at least 3 more years. with a 370Z as my second car next year.

Not much... I put on under 7,000km this year so around 4500 miles... But i dont drive the car in the winter which means it parked from January to end of April ... then parked again in November and December.

WOW, lots of Miles, Bought my G in Jan of 07 with 10mi on it. RIght now it just hit 16,000mi. LOL. I only drive it mostly on weekends, and special occasions! I don't drive it to work. cause it's a dirty, dusty place. and the yard workers don't care about other peoples cars, and balst the weedwackers! no matter if there rocks or dirt by your car.

But I know I avrg about 3000mi a Yr! and it will be paid off soon! and the new Mustang 5.0 is making my mouth water! LOL

halarious!

i got mine 6 months ago and it had 34k and now its got 41k. thats about 14k a year which is definitely more miles than i'd like to put on it but thats what comes with living in LA. i have made myself more conscious about always taking the shortest route not just the easiest one or the nearest highway. there is an option in your nav for shortest route and even if you only cut out about 3miles a day thats aver 1000 a year.
