How often you drive your G?

My 2008 G35 is my only car, I have been thinking of getting a bucket for work because I feel I am driving my G too much and putting too many miles. And use my G for after work, going out, park, and other crap.

But I wanted to know what are you guys averaging a day, month, year.

I got my G with 17,500 in MAY 12 2010. Right now it has 28,500 DEC 08, 2010. Thats 11,000 in Seven months

Average: Yearly: 18, 857 miles Monthly: 1,571 miles -- Weekly: 392 miles-- Daily: 56 miles.

Is this too much? What are your inputs?

What are you saving it for? Chances are you won't even keep it 6 yrs. I just bought mine used a month ago and put 3k on it already. That is not the norm for me however.
My 04G I had for 4 1/2 yrs was traded with 42K miles on it but that was due to military deployment

Dude as much as I hate to say it..

Cars are disposable items... You use them up and move on they constantly need up keep and will always brake down over time.

Unless you can walk/ride your bike to work you will always be using up your car.

Even if you buy a beater, in 6 years the New G will have 400hp and the old GTR engine. LOL You will be lusting after something else

Lol so true. So many folks (me included) always say I will keep this till the wheels fall off. What that really means is until the next best thing comes out, which happens to be every 2yrs or so.

Be careful, such statements around here will get you banned (j/k).
I bet you will still care what you're driving though, very hard to go backwards once you start driving nicer performance-based vehicles. My dad's last car was an M3 (before passing away last year). Doubt we'll see you in a Camry or Prius in 6 years, if so you'll have to unsubscribe to G35Driver, lol
BTW, drive our G about 15k a year.

I got my 05 when i was in high school, so I didn't drive as much, plus during the summer I drive our pickup truck a lot more due to my job.

On my car, I bought it with 31k in Feb of 08. It now has 64k. So 3 years... 11k per year. I do a LOT of driving, holy crap (and that included storing during the winter)

Now though, I am in college and a weekend trip home round trip is about 500 miles. I do that ever 3 weeks or so depending on whats going on.

When i get my new G, I am going to assume the mileage per year will increase as I am now driving during the winter and doing round trips from school to home. I'll anticipate 15k per year. Thats what I am going to guess.

Cars are made for driving anyway. I have the option to drive my girlfriend/wife's car and she drives mine, bit I feel so weak driving it. Malibu 2008 2.4engine. And I always thinking about my G.
