^ if you are talking about the TSB for the surge on AT's in 3rd gear, it is different from what the OP is describing, else list the TSB that might help the OP.

A reset of the engine with removing neg cable on battery takes a full 24 to actually reset.

I just had the stumbling and puttering in mine but it was from sitting for six months. Through in some seafoam and it was fine.

I know for a fact that a faulty MAF sensor will cause similar symptoms, but that would trip a CEL, so that's weird

I was fine for the last week, and it came back today. A bit milder, but i took a vid - Didn't have much space - but around 6-7 second it happens:

Wouldn't go past 4500 this time. I did it a few times with the same result. Last time was around 3000 and more abrupt.

Hmm that's odd.

Have you taken a look at your throttle bodies? I doubt they're the problem but no harm in checking them out and cleaning them to see if it improves anything?

Not yet. My experience with stuff like this is "Unable to duplicate" and I waste a day. The dealer is also on the other end of town, so I'd like to go in armed with some info before arranging appointments.

You do have the video ....why don't u send that in first to the dealer via email then see what they have to say?

Could it be possible maybe ur rev limited sensor ia damaged and the car thinks ur going into red line when ur not and its trying to preserve ur engine from damage?

what redbaron said, you have the video so they would have to test everything out, tell em its a safety hazard and you almost got into an accident cause the car wont accelerate off the ramp, that should get them to take a proper look at it.

EDIT: that TSB is different i had taht done on mine a long time back, thats just for rpm fluctuation and NEVER limited the revs

That is what he is experiencing. The rpms surge and makes the car surge. It's not that is limiting your rpms. The surge happens when you have a steady light throttle. If you step on it more, it will go.
