Odd noise. Thoughts?

Hey guys, i would just like to get some feedback on a noise im hearing thats driving me insane. The sound i am hearing is a "creaking" noise upon take off and braking. It sounds like its coming from the front driver side spring. It does not happen turning turns or on bumpy roads. it only when i take off or slow down. Its consistent as it does it all the time. I even took off my front strut bar thinking that might help. Dropping it off at the dealer Monday but would like to get some thoughts? Coil unit? Coil mount? Engine mount?

Thanks

could be rear axle click (covered by warranty), Compression rods (covered by warranty), suspension bushings (covered by warranty), bad shocks (not covered)

He's talking about acceleration and deceleration when the car shifts forward and backwards, not the brake system itself.

bat6wc, does it only happen when the car is cold and after you drive from a cold start? I mean when the engine is fully warmed up does it still creak?

It happens regardless of whether it was just started (engine cold) or if the car has been running. I dont think its related to the brake system. it seems based on weight shift or momentum. it is consistent though, every time i pull away from a stop or slow the vehicle down

it was covered under warranty on my car, smallish job should only take the dealer 1-2 days, cause: driving style and/or faulty bushings.

Mine makes the same annoying creak and is momentum related...I just turn the music up. I assumed it was the bushing or something of that nature. It doesn't affect the driveability but just sounds yuk. But I've had the issue with all of my cars because I've lowered them all. Figured they'd blame the aftermarket suspension so I never complained about it.

Sorry to bump this up, but has anyone else figured out what was causing the creak and managed to fix it? If it's the compression rod/bushing, how can i check for this myself? That is, what should i look out for?

I have a similar creak coming from the passenger side (it sounds like it's coming from the middle of the car, but it could very well be from the front or rear wheel... hard to pinpoint, but it is on the passenger sid, on the outside).

Initially i thought there's a bit of aluminum beer/soda can stuck on that side somewhere (i hit one on the freeway a while back, never saw anything when i checked under there, but the creak started that same day).

However, lately the creak is getting more obvious. And like in the OP, it only happens when accelerating from a stop, or decelerating from speed.

bringing this back as I just put the stock suspension back on and I am hearing this noise again. Happens on take off and on hilly roads when accelerating or decelerating. Also happens with aggressive turns. Thoughts?

Try re-greasing the sway bar bushings. That solved it for me.
