Hello guys,
I've had my G35 for about a week now, I've notice a strange quick pop sound when starting the engine sometimes. I've only notice it whenever I keep the car on ACC while playing music and then starting it. It sounds like it coming from the middle speaker on the dash. Have any of you guys/gals ever counter this issue if so, how did you resolve it?

 

Go to your dealer (hopefully you are still within warranty). This is a known issue although no TSB was issued. There is a problem with the bose amplifier and the symptoms are just as you describe: loud static "pop" from the front center speaker when starting engine with ACC already on. If your dealer doesn't know about this problem, have them contact Infiniti tech support. I had mine replaced during my first year of ownership after reading about it on the forum. My dealer thought it was the speaker and replaced that first (even though I told them people on the forum had issues with the bose amp). Then they called tech support and replaced the bose amplifier.

 

Man i'm like 3K over the basic warranty. I will contact the dealer to see if i can work something out. thanks for the info
