I try to use the ipod nano 16gb 5th generation into the integrate cable for G35 everything work fine but only issue it's not charging while it play. is anyone have the same issue? any update cable from infinity to make this charging function works ?

the only ipod that apple currently makes that will natively charge via the infiniti cable is the ipod classic. it's what you want anyway, 160Gb, rip all your cds to lossless and just leave it installed in your car.
apple made the change from firewire to usb connectivity to sell to the windows pc market which hasn't adopted firewire even though it's a better transfer system. consolidating to usb saves money, and may allow them to make smaller devices (one less chipset). makes business sense, but the transition occurred after nissan developed their control cable. i don't think it's as simple as just a new cable as the power supplied from each method (firewire vs. usb) is different.
but like i said, get a ipod classic, it's 160Gb and only $249, rip your audio uncompressed or lossless, leave it installed - it's the best mod imho.

 

I have looked and looked online for a cable connector for my ipod integration. I bought a used 2008 G35 Infiniti and OF COURSE the cable connector is missing...!!!!! I can't find where to buy one. Anyone know where I can get one? Thanks.

Hey all, i am a newbie here and wondering if there is a list anywhere of which Ipods work and which ones will charge. My wife has a 2nd gen. Nano and it will not hook up to my OEM integration system. Just bought a 08 G35S...

 

As I know, all the classic Ipod from 5th generation or older will charge. cuz i got the 80gb 5th genration work fine. but becarefull for the power surge it may freeze up the ipod.

 

it doesnt charge all ipod touch and iphone it works on all the other ipods.

 

the only current ipod that will charge is the ipod classic. i got one to use as a permanent car audio server, works great. just don't connect the ipod touch/iphone/etc. to the car (phone still works via bluetooth).

 

I have an iPod 4G and it does not charge, I have an older iPod classic and it does not charge, I also tried a couple of other classics and same result. Does anybody have an idea, could it be the cable, or should I get the adapter?

Try a different cable. That Classic should charge. I use my old 60GB iPod Video (5th gen) and it charges and works perfectly.
Try the adapter too. If it doesn't work you can return it. I know Walmarts, here in Canada, sell them.

Im not sure but I think THIS is what you have. These guys are good to deal with. I think lots of guys here have ordered from them, including my self, when I had my 07 G35.
