I know a few guys on the east coast with G35S's and they get around just fine in the snow.
Driving habits and a good set of tires helps.

 

Mine is a tank in the snow but I admit that it's gotten a bit trickier since the drop.

I agree snow tires would help some. But as far as driving habits I would say my habits are better than most as I lived in Vail for 7 seven years...get just a little more snow than the east coast. 200 lbs of bag sand in the trunk and a full tank and new all season bridgestones still barely got up my driveway which is a SLIGHT incline. Mine isnt an X, so i just sit and spin. thinking about buying an older wrx for the winters

well my wife G has black interior so 35% works well.
as for suv's they have no trunk so thats to hide what could be back there. thats how and why they come that way from the factory!
