Here's the thing. It's your car. If you like a little bit of extra chrome (I said a little bit) then you should just do it and don't worry about what others say.
I'm inline with the opinions of many others, in that I wouldn't add more chrome to my G either. I have actually blacked out my grille and some people don't like that either.
Do what you like.

Lol I know I feel same way I think ima get them Put them on if I dnt like it I'll take it off I dnt want too much chrome so if it looks like it's too much it's coming off!

 

Shoulda gone with brushed aluminum or carbon fiber but NOT chrome. I usually stay out of the threads like this because I am a firm believer in allowing others to do as they wish with their car but I really cannot see how that looks good one bit...
