Is this normal?

hey guys,

i recently bought an '07 G35S and noticed that when i went to fill up the hole where the gas pump goes into doesn't have a 'flap' when i stick the pump in. i'm pretty sure all my other cars have had this. am i missing something or is this how it's supposed to be?

i dont believe mine has a flap. its not really necessary if the cap is on properly, that flap is really only a vapor barrier to my knowledge....or possibly to prevent debris from entering during refueling...
