iPhone4 mount/charge/wire for audio/video
iPhone4 mount/charge/wire for audio/video
Does anyone have suggestions or actual experience and success in mounting an iPhone 4 in 07G35x where it also charges and allows you to listen through the car speakers?
Thanks in advanced!

I bought the Apple brand Composite Video Cord and plugged it into the center console input, I purchased a 12V-USB adapter and plugged the USB from the Apple cord into it. I also did the video lock-out mod so I can watch music videos.

Get something like this. I put one in mine a couple years ago. Works great. There are other less expensive similar devices available now as well.

Thanks for the info guys. But where do you mount your iPhone and I want to be able to keep the wires hidden. There is such little room in the center console I would rather noY have then wrapped up in there...suggestions?
hey how did u do the lock-out mod?? to see videos as u drive?> i tryed doing it looked under saw the little switch the is touched by the ebrake so i bend that metal piece hope it worked it did but i guess it has a speed sensor and that was a head scratch-er lol
Initially the mount I made was like this; https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-aud...lip-mount.html
A while ago I removed the flex clip, repainted the metal with PlastiDip and attached a 1sq.in. piece of Velcro. I put some soft loop Velcro on my iPod and anything else I want to attach. It works great and looks clean.

This one shows my Otterbox case attached. I set my BB Torch in it. I didn't like the Otterbox on the phone so I rigged it up for use in the car instead.

Does anyone else also get a high pitch whine with the Apple wires when charging? Or is that just the charger adapter I'm using?

Get a Ground Loop Isolator. You can find one at you local electronics store, RadioShack/The Source.
