Hi, I wanted to share my backup camera install project that I finished a few days ago. This is as close to stock look as you can get IMO.

Parts list:

1.Sanyo CCA-BC200 backup camera - Displays Guide lines when put in reverse

Camera I bought - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300516298534&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Camera Review, manual, and included in box list - http://www.crutchfield.com/S-pEMKlRE...=83&tab=review

2. G35/G37 sedan Chrome trunk lip w camera hole.

more pictures

Here are some more pics of install. Also you have to press Aux when in Reverse, but I am trying to figure out how to automatically switch to Aux by getting power to the aux image circuit when I move to revers, if anyone has any other way of doing this it would be helpful.

Price of Mod

I paid 230.00 because I had the wiring done and the camera wire routed to the center console, so 130.00 parts and 100 for the labor I had the shop do. But if you have time on your hands, this is not that hard of an install.

This will do it but the price is more than you paid for the parts + the install. It's way more cost effective to just push that AUX button

I was think of doing one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/INFIN...fAudioQ5fVideo but I want to try and do a easy wire first before I spend that kind of money.

definitely looks great! given that it's a CCD camera you went the right way, it will give you a far superior image.

as far as designing an "auto switcher" that shouldn't be too tough. i will look at the shop manuals but one thing i can't remember offhand is when you press the "aux" button, i know it goes to the image source but if you press it again does it revert back to the radio? i'm drawing a blank. the operation of the button will determine how to wire up a switching device....i'll have to check when i head home.

Ok thanks, I was thinking I could wire a relay that would give power to the aux image signal circuit when the car is put in reverse

It doesn't revert to the radio, it just toggles to AUX audio only without the video.
