Look around there is quite a few people that will leave the mt. fuji and keep G35S while removing the "I N F I N I T I". In fact I keep thinking about doing that myself... I know its not exactly what you asked for but it might help you get an idea.

every one has their own way of doing it.. I have done my car, a few of my friends cars (BMW, Honda, VW, Audi etc...) and mine was by far the hardest. I warmed the emblems with a heatgun, took them off with dental floss, then used a combination off bug and tar remove, followed by rubbing compound, followed by wax.

When I debadged my girls RSX I used the same method. I just took my time with the fishing line not to rush anything so that I could do my best to avoid any scratches. Once everything was removed I followed up with some Megs Scratch X. There was no shadowing of the badges or scratches at all.

No scratches and shadowing only really occurs if you paint has years of sun exposure.

Ah right how could I forget the hair dryer an essential component of the debadge.

i debadged everything then painted my infinti sign black and put it back on for about 6 bucks for glue and paint also did my headlights by baking em and opening em up, and also sanded and painted my grill also cost me a can of paint and sandpaper only!

grill is missing my infinti sign, i gotta resand and paint it
i also used fishing line and hair dryer, then took it to a car wash to buff out for 10 bucks

looked at the pics for the overlays, nice look, especially on the taillights. Easy to install? What's the life span in terms of exposure to sun, moisture etc? Just don't want em to look like crap in a couple of years...Originally Posted by Blue_Batmobile

If applied correctly should last a long time. I get people who've had my overlays for 6 years now email me or post on threads telling me how well they've held up and still going strong
