Car is at dealers for a few things and I got an 09 x as loaner. Man do I hate the throttle response. Sooo dull compared to my 07 you guys notice this as well? Not a fan of the 7AT.
One thing I did notice...steering is much more responsive and feels tighter than my 07. Makes taking corners and weaving a little bit more fun but still like mine much more. Something is up with my steering. Why it's there in the first place

Yep, it has to do with the throttle calibration of early '07s. A later ECU update softened it quite a bit, so if you like it the way it is, make sure the dealership doesn't apply the update.
As for the steering, starting with '08, i believe, the steering ratio was tightened up.

Yeah I told them i love my throttle response. In the 09 you almost have to floor it to get some get up and go power. It sucks only driving the base model hahaOriginally Posted by soundmike

I am definitely not a fan of the 7AT either.
Only way I could do a G37 now is if I went with a Sport 6MT

Is there any way to tell the difference between an early and late 07?Originally Posted by soundmike

Give the car one third to half throttle.
If the car snaps your head back, it's early
The car has a birth date. Check the sticker on the driver's side door jam. I believe it's there, and also something you can determine from the VIN as well.

Also...this loaner has horrible break judder at highway speeds...is soo smooth however up at 80...unlike mine
Hope they find the issue and not say it's tire balance
Spoke too soon..called and said nothing is wrong...is all those terrible steering wheel vibrations are in my head..sweet

I don't know what to tell you dude...
All I can think is to try a different set of wheels and give it a test drive.
Do you have another setup?

Not anymore..my old tires did the same thing as well as new..oh well i guess this is how mine is going to drive..i even brought my mom with me to drive my car home...man my passenger seat felt like a vibration seat even with me in it on the highway..my mother also said she felt it in the drivers seat. Very frustrating but i guess ill just get use to it with time...
At least driving under 70 has 1 perk..less fuel
