Got my first ticket in a long time today...

This car is just too fast and too smooth. (Well not really but you know what I mean.) I was just accelerating from a light and before I knew it I was going 65 in a 35. The officer had mercy on me and greatly reduced the ticket to save my butt but I've got to get my right foot under control or next time I might not be so fortunate.

(He did comment on what nice car it was though, and that he thought it was new.)

Ya thats one of the features of these cars , how much did he bring it down too? For me actually it has been the other way around (thankfully) i used to get a ton of tickets on my 4banger and have not received any moving violation (that i can remember of) on the G, have gotten a few others pertaining to plates and such

Actually the officer gave me a ticket for driving without a seat belt (which is only $45 and no points). I thanked him profusely (65 in a 35 would be 4 points here).

^ wow you are lucky, i once got a ticket for going 36 in a 30! the cop argued that it was a school zone even though he pulled me over BEFORE i crossed the "school zone" sign luckily the judge was cool and let me off with a $20 court fee and no points...

You would have gotten the 4 points if you were driving a coupe.

It pays to have connections with a state police officer

Yeah I've got a few friends who are cops (current or retired) but I haven't gotten my 2011 card yet.
