question about the TMPS

I am planning on buying Borbet XL with 255/40/18 on all four (g35x 07)

I am wondering, which TMPS i would need to buy.

Do i need valve stem? or TMPS sensor itself?

because they have huge price difference...

thanks!

You may want to move this to the wheel section.

A few options that I know of.

1) Remember that the search button is your freind.

2) remove the OEM sensors from your OEM wheels and reuse those sensors. i am not sure but I think you need to keep the sensor in the same locations. you could try rotating now and driving around a bit to see if the computer handles the movement.

3) purchase replacement sensors and have them installed at the tire shop. you can buy on your own or have the tire shop do it but it needs to be arranged before you get there since they will probably need to order them. Lots of online companies to purchase from as well as Ebay (be careful there). Keep track of the sensor ID for each location. Ask the tire shop if they are able to program the new sensors into your computer before hand. If they can't do it, you will need to go to Infiniti who charges between free to $100+.

4) you can buy your own reset tools but finding one that is proven to work is the trick. I think that another thread discussed some good options. Just search "TPMS"
