That's a great TSB explaining how to reattach the seals, that's exactly what I did but with no adhesive tape and it remained attached with no issues since that time. The key is where the instructions show the cross section of the seal where it is circled, as long as that side of the seal is inserted first, then the other side is pushed in with that same tool, which can be bought on amazon, it will pop right back in and not come off again.

I have found that the gasket comes loose primarily from reaching up and holding the top of the door as I climb in and out of the car (mostly getting out). If I consciously avoid that, it appears to stay put indefinitely.

I know this is an old thread, but does anyone have the tsb on how to push the weather strip back in?
