Question Moving from a 6spd TL

Hello all i am in the market for an 07-08 x with navi in either BO or WDP? I will be selling my Acura TL soon and i am just curious as to how much worse the X is going to be on gas than my TL. Right now i am getting about 23mpg mixed driving. What do most of you x drivers get for mpg? Thanks in advance

you should expect to be around 17-21mpg mixed with normal driving

what year? It will prob. be slightly worse but you will gain so much more. like power and you will be a lot classier in the g than the tl.

My friend drives 07 TL in black. I drove it and at first... I liked it. Vtec and V6. but once I got my G, it's whole another dimension. This car is damn addictive.

The 5AT G35x drinks it. The 6mt RWDs are not bad, and neither are the 7 speed G37x's.

i get 20 in the winter driving conservatively (in 0 to 30 degree weather), 22-24 in the summer driving mixed and i have pulled 27 on the highway heading to washington dc from NY (which is a long, straight drive). if you get a g37 obviously you'll do better with the 7 speed tranny. also keep in mind my daily commute has some stop and go so i think my numbers are decent.

enjoy the G! moving from my 02 TL Type-S was a huge leap but just be sure to get a fully loaded one or youll miss all those wonderful amenities!

Cheers!
Bob

I average 20mpg mixed. I tried to drive much gentler and shift differently to increase the average, but it didn't seem to do anything so I just drive it as I please. (07 G35s with a 6mt)

I had a g37 loaner for a week(7 speed) and after relentlessly flooring it where ever I went I could not manage to get it under 20mpg, made me jealous.. but it would constantly hunt for gears under normal city/highway driving and that made me content with my 5 speed

@sam - you know that has been a constant complaint i hear about the gear hunting but given the advent of $4 premium gas here in NY last week i'll take the hunting! lol. but yeah seriously i have considered trading in my g35 soon for an off lease 37 with tech and premium packages....we'll see what the next year or two brings....

Doesn't help you, but in my 6MT RWD I get 25 MPG mixed, 23'ish if my foot is heavy that day.
