rust..

I read in other forums of people complaining of rust spots on the trunk, I noticed today I have 2 tiny rust spots on mine..... my car is only 2.5 years old so its sort of annoying.

Anyone have this issue? Know how the dealer will remedy this and what I can expect?

i dont have any thankfully, got any pics so i can see what youre referring too? This is unacceptable on a 40k car for sure and that too form infiniti. If there is no damage on the area and is just rust then the dealer HAS to warrant repair by pretty much sanding off and repainting if its surface rust else if its deep then they should change out your trunk rather than try to fix it imo. the rust & corrosion warranty is about 7 years i think so you should be fine.

Rust spots? Are you sure it isnt just contaminants embedded in the paint? Post some pictures.

not really sure what exact are u are referring too but there should be no rust possible on the bumper since its not metal so is it the the metal fenders or panels that meet with the bumper?

You guys should post pics if/when possible so more ppl can look into it with more detail and see if its some off case or in fact a widespread problem

I was actally washing it so I can claybar and wax it when I noticed it..... but if its from the inside out, wax wouldn't have prevented anything. Besides, my old 1995 honda accord is still rust free and its never been waxed.... what's with my g???
