G35x Vs. G35 Sedan Sport

I love my X and still feel that it does a great job of hanging right along side of the S but if I go for another one, I'll most likely do a 6MT S.
I miss having the MT and with a decent set of tires (which I run anyway) the S does just fine. It will never be as good as an X in the snow but if you're careful, you can get by when the white stuff flies.
Plus, for me anyways... when I start looking again, it'll most likely be the G37 I'm looking at and that 7AT is a fvcking joke... I hate it, hate it, hate it.
I do, however, like that M56 though......

That's what I'm thinking. I guess it will just depend on what sort of deal I can find. I'm coming from a 2wd Chevy S10 so I don't think a 2wd G Sedan w/ snow tires could be much worse..

I live in KC and have an S with no winter tires. I don't drive my car in weather like today since I can just as easily use my wife's car.
I have tested the car in my neighborhood. On slick snow or ice, it doesn't take much of a grade to keep the car from getting going at all from a stop. Like I said, no winter tires and I didn't try with any weight in the trunk.

I also live in Kansas City (MO). I used to have a 2003 coupe before i totaled it. two months ago when we were getting that heavy snow, i couldn't even leave my driveway with all season tires. I have since "upgraded" (in some ways) to a 2004 sedan g35x and i love it. I can't even get the tires to squeak when it's raining.
If only they made an AWD coupe.

Tough call fellas.
My vote would still have to be my set up; rwd w/ winter tires. But in a more moderate winter it means a lot less of a need for the tires which probably means quicker wear.
For me, when temps hit mid 40's consistently, that is when the tires get changed. Anything above 40 and winter tires go to crap.
I've also been to KC in a snow storm and the roads really are not that great. Don't know what to tell ya.??

I had even better 4x4 system (made in Germany) than G35X and after couple months, I was so pissed that I can't even spin the tires when I want (except snow), so I went with S. In February we had one of the worst winter here in Chicago with more than 20" of snow and there weren't many cars on the road that day but I was doing just fine (I even helped to push out some Odyssey and small Toyota that got stuck on the intersection). BTW I bought (4) 17" wheels with Blizzaks for $500 and I can save my nice ones from all that salt and dirt during the winter. And remember even with X you can't use summer performance tires all year around, unless you want your braking distance to be infiniti..

i'd go with the XS listen BBKs look cool but its the dumbest thing to add on a car, if it doesnt already have it. Other than being on a track when will you ever need a BBK (i dont know about you but i can stop just fine. i have a 1st gen sport sedan which isn't too pleasant in the snow (at all) and truthfully i like AWD you like the car get whats practical how often do we really gun it at a light and race people? i'm sure every now and then some moron in a tibiron or civic needs to be put in check but XS can handle it just fine. Most of the after market exhaust our forum members put on their cars sound like coffee pots anyway(not trying to insult anyone) so forget about that.
So what are we left with?
S
1. brakes that you'll never need
2. option to make your car sound like a coffee pot
3.not as safe in bad weather which can occur in the 4 colder months of the year
XS
1.AWD good all year driving (safer in snow)
2. same sport front
3. same seats
4. no BBK
i got sick of making my list but theres nothing thats really is a decision maker
