Cluster Hood Separating...:(

08 with 35,000 miles and the instrument cluster hood is separating from the control/buttons (see pic).

Anyone else seen this. New covers go for $400!!+ and it looks like a total PITA to change..think you even have to take the steering wheel off to get at it. I like my cars perfect this just kills me.

Had the same problem, had it replaced under warranty at Infiniti dealership, no questions asked.

never seen that problem before but i would think you would be able to get it replace under warranty

My car did it. Mention it at your next oil change, that's covered under warranty.

I have the same problem, although mine isn't as severe. I told the dealer last time I was there and they placed an order...

Yep same here.. Mine was replaced about 6 months ago.. along with my shift ****...

The glue they must have used was not put on well enough or the gauge cluster must get hit by high/cold temps to make the plastic warp.

Either way its kinda crappy...

warranty should take care of it...

Apparently Nissan buys their glue from the same manufacture that makes their piston rings....FAIL!

Mine is doing the same thing I just need to go to the dealership and they will replace it under warranty including my steering wheel

fixed my peeling steering wheel, console cover and door trim under warranty no questions asked.

I also had this issue. '08 with 30,000 miles. Replaced under warranty, no questions asked.

damn!! I gotta go get mine replaced too then!! Never really payed attention to it!! Is this only for Used Certified. Mine is a 2008 with 32,000.
