New to me 08 G35 Sedan

I’ve been perusing the forums the past couple weeks and thought I would share my story. After about 3 months of looking for an 08 Acura TL (hate the ugly new model TL’s) I spotted a Red 08 G35S Manual at my local Infiniti Dealership. I took it for a test drive and absolutely fell in love with it. After the “non-negotiation” by the salesman I left and happen to spot another G35 Journey at my Nissan dealership. I have to say that I was set on buying a TL but after driving the 35 I fell in love with it and bought it. The sound at startup can be very enticing. In the 3 weeks I have owned it, it has been a little of a pain in the *** so far though. The day I bought it I had the car stall on me while coming to a stop light. When I test drove it and ran it each time I went to look at it ran perfectly fine. After reading other posts, I proceeded to clean the throttle bodies and then the MAF using the MAF cleaner (Resets were performed properly). I thought the problem was fixed until the problem happened to me again 2 days ago when my car stalled again when coming to a stop. Overall, the car runs great. The only issues I see are a very slight “hunting” idle RPM (100-200 fluctuation) and a vibration while driving which is not the tires since all 4 are brand new and have been balanced. I find that the transmission is a little over reactive but I think this is probably normal. I also see that the RPM spools pretty high while driving on the highway compared to the Altima I traded in and my Mitsu Endeavor, although this doesn’t bother me. I just thought an engine this size would not need 3300 RPM’s to cruise at 80. Overall, I love the car and don’t regret the purchase since I think the stalling and idle issue are related and haven’t really affected the performance of the vehicle that I have seen so far. I just scheduled a service at the Infiniti dealership and will be dropping it off on Thursday sine I have about 16k 12mo of warranty left. I’m hoping that they will fix these issues for me because I think it’s a great car and love it much more than the new vehicles I have purchased. And btw, I told him about the steering wheel peeling issue over the phone and he said he’ll order a new steering wheel and it should be here when I drop the car off. So I think things are looking good so far.

Could be just a bad tank of gas... have you looked at your air filters and if the boxes are correctly sealed and connected.

Good luck..
