need help on a 2007 g35s

i am in the spot of being able to buy a 07 g35s 6mt. 24k miles on the vehicle. has nav. brand new tires front and rear. price will be 22k after i trade in my 04 g35x. i live in the north east and concerned with snow, and tie replacement. pretty sure it will need a clutch, if you take 1st gear up to 7k and hit second you feel it slip. around town "normal" driving and your ok. looking for opinions from anyone. btw i would prob. own the vehicle for 5-6 years. i do about 12k miles a year

Buy snow tires and you are good to go.

If you want any clutch to last very long, you shouldn't be doing that too often.

I was wondering, did you try this with traction control off? It's possible that it's actually not the clutch slipping, but traction control kicking in.

my traction control goes crazy when i do a hard shift into 2nd at high RPMS. I live in NJ and I got around just fine this winter with stock all season tires. I think I will get snow tires next year just to be a little safer out there. I did slip a lot but didn't have a far commute to work (5 miles)
