I'm waiting on ark to ship my exhaust. I can't wait!

Chinky- if your back around the area, we can do a small meet. That would be cool.

I made the switch because I wanted to add HFC to my system but I knew it would be way too loud for my taste with the ARK system. Plus I had some fitment issues with the right muffler hanging lower than the left which was driving me nuts! I like the FI system much better because of its top-notch craftmanship (welding/finish is far superior than ARK), perfect fitment, less aggressive design, and the cleaner tone which is much more suitable for a sports luxury sedan. I am very happy I made the switch. I got to meet Tony @ FI in person and his customer service exceeded my expectations.

Below is my old review of the ARK prototype cbe on my 08 sedan.

I spend time on both sites, but I find the driver forum to be MUCH MUCH MORE informative and practical. IMO there are way more people on driver with more knowledge and expertise with the 2nd gen sedans. However, I still browse myg37 quite often because of its larger marketplace support due to the V36 coupes and the V36 sedans sharing many parts.

If I am not mistaken, those are Five Axis wheels. Don't remember which model they are but IMO they look cheap and tacky. A lot of the Scion guys rock these wheels. I don't think they belong on a G.

imho, FI exhaust > ARK exhaust
FI WINS HANDS DOWN!!

I've had both systems, so I am not being biased at all.

My thoughs on FI cbe: cleaner sound, top notch craftmanship (best welding job I've seen), better fitment, superior finish, subtle design (could be a +/- for some of u), overall more suitable for our sedans, don't forget better customer service (Tony is a great guy!), more pricey but you get what you pay for with the system!

My thoughts on ARK cbe: 2.5 diameter piping, sounds aggressive (overly loud to some ppl like myself), right muffler hangs lower than left on some of their units (it drove me nuts seeing it everyday!), imo the finish is subpar for exhaust in this price range, dual chamber design (knockoff of HKS), customer service was less than what I expected, overall still a good system if you are looking for something loud and aggressive.

This is my quick overview of both systems. Hope that helps!

Just got my Ark on my AWD today. Oh man, is this thing loud.
J2S2M, did it get quieter over time when it broke in? or louder?

After the break-in, the droning did get a lil more refined on the ARK system. I think the exhaust sounds pretty good w/o any HFC or TP. But once you add anything else, it will be way too loud.

I was at the limit of my threshold of the loudness w/o the hfc. I knew once I added a hfc later down the line, I would be pulling my hair out. Hence, I got rid of it. I am much happier with the FI system.

I had my HFCs on Before the exhaust, but i took them out while putting the ark on. So hopefully the tone will be more refined once it breaks in.

So u have the Fi system with HFCs? thats cool.

No, just the FI exhaust w/o the HFC. I plan on picking up the FI hfc soon though.
