Upgrading the HDD

Has it been done?

I was thinking maybe I should switch it for a SSD, somehow remove the old HDD and clone the drive. Put that image onto the SSD and voila, way more music.

search and you might find it cause there was a thread here where someone tried it but the issue was to try and burn the image on the new on or something along those lines.

I am sure its possible to do. If you have drive cloning hardware, it should be pretty simple and straight forward. The only concerns would be the type of HDD (SATA, SAS, etc) and if there is any sort of encryption or security features that don't allow the data to be copied.

It would be awesome.
While upgrading also load more music and do titles from PC - faster and easier.
Whos doing it first?

There has been talk about this for years but I have never heard of anyone having success. Also distant talk about hacking the QNX that runs on it.
