Engine Noise

I just purchased an 08 g35x AWD sedan, coming from an 04 G coupe, i notice the engine on this car is alot louder. driving at 75 on the highway today with the cruise control I can hear a ticking sound, i can also hear this when accelerating or under normal driving conditions. now my gf says im crazy but after driving a g37 loaner that was practically silent, and then getting into my car it sounds as if theres metal ball bearings or something ticking and tapping around. Its slight RPM dependent, however its louder when the engine is put under load. I have a service apt tomorrow night to drop the car off, it has 46k on the clock and I still have factory warantee, i hope this isnt the dreaded oil consumption issue. Ive checked the oil thus far since having it changed last week and it is still on point, so we will see

there is a TSB for a ticking sound coming from the dash at certain rpms around 2-3k i think, it requires for them to clear out the heater core. Search here "tapping sound" under the 2nd gen section and you should find it.
