Dr.Colorchip on Blue Slate K52

Hi,

Just purchased the Dr.Colorchip to cover up all the paint chips from rocks flying into the bumper. Wanted to share the results, I'll post up the pics later when I have the chance.

The product works in some areas, but it's too thin to actually "cover" any paint chips. It will fill the chip in with OEM color, making it less visible, and yeah unless pointed out it's pretty hard to notice the fix. But for bigger paint chips, it's impossible to fix with this product since the paint will not bind hard enough and will eventually come off.

Awesome. I can't wait to see the results. I've been debating whether or not to buy this stuff.

clay bar can NOT fill in chipped paint, its only purpose is take contaminants off your painted surface before waxing or such, if anything it will take off any loose paint. Its a great thing bit its not a filler and if not used properly(lack of lubrication) it can be a pain.

Dr.Colochip is a super cheap alternative for the bumper repaint, so don't expect the greatest result from it (i mean, its like 30 bucks for the kit).
But.... the bumper is destined to get f**ked n e ways, so yea until it really irks the crap out its all good I guess.

Just do yourself a favor, IF you get it repainted then protect your investment and get a clear bra, its as simple as that.

In for pics. I'm K52 too and some Dbag ****ed my rear door up in a parking lot and there is a quarter size chip in my door.

I hope this kit can fix it. I just paid over 1K to get this same exact spot painted two weeks ago from the last guy that hit.my door!!!!

I've heard lots of good reviews with Dr Colorchip.. It's only made for small scratches and rock chips...
