what are your reasons? the maxima isn't that much cheaper than a G, a nicely loaded Maxima can run you into the 40K range, "minus whale" get a new G

i'm mad that the Max got heated steering wheel, rear window power sunshade, adjustable rear headrests, and mirror turn signals and the G doesnt

I'm getting about 17 mpg with this car....that's crazy. I love the G but the Maxima is better on Gas and has pretty good numbers performance wise.

I might look into a new G but I can get a fully loaded max for much less....
I have 25000 miles on My car it's fully loaded and not a scratch on it.
Black 35xs rear oem fin
I think I could get a good deal on a trade in.
Thanks all for your input

Oh well good luck with that. I'm happy to see I'm not the only person that makes stupid car decision.

OP: You're the only person that can justify your decision. I had a 02 Maxima 6MT, loved it, until I saw the Titan, then loved that until I saw the 04 G35, then loved that until I saw the 06 Yukon Denali, then loved that until I saw the 07 G35. See where this is going. There will always be something about your car that you'll hate and think the next car will satisfy. GL

So true.... I traded my 2008 A4 S-line in for the G35 since I wanted more power, but miss a lot of things about the Audi infiniti lacks.

i was looking at the maximas originally when i was in the market for a car. the only reason why i went with the G over the maxima is the AWD option over the only available FWD on the maxima.

so that was my argument against the maxima.

We had two Maximas in the past, 1995 & 2003. I liked the '95 better as far as handling. Both belonged to the wife, so she decided to get a '07 G35x. The '03 Maxima is still in the family. We had never had a problem with either of the Maximas and each had 180K miles. The G35x on the other hand, steering wheel & door pull handle finish is rubbing off, headlights have stress cracks (visible only when the lights are on) and dealer refused to fix either because we don't service our cars there. For Infiniti being the premium brand, there shouldn't be any problems. Go with whatever decision you make.

I would do it, I think the 2011 maxima looks 100 times better than the g35 sedan. OP is your car and your money do what makes you happy. This is a g35 forum so most response are going to be in favor of g35, but again do what makes you happen since you are going to be looking at it and driving it not any of us.

G35x
I still have my '02 Maxima but it's only AWD or rear wheel drive for me in the future.

Not sure how torque steer is on the new Maximas but I consider it fairly extreme on my old '02.

I wish the Helical Limited Slip Differential had been available on the automatics. It was only an option on the 6-speeds. That may have tamed the torque steer issues.

I think the only negative thing with the MAxima is it's front wheel drive. OVerall: exterior, interior design looks better than the G. IF the Max was rear wheel, I would get it. I just love the exterior of the Max.

No way man, the flared hips and narrow rump of the G is what makes it far superior than any Maxima... l.,ol... maxima.lol
If you cant recognize style and sophistication than you should drive an inferior sedan.

First of all I don't drive a sedan, I drive a coupe so I won't be driven any inferior sedan because I don't like them. Personally there are only 2 or maybe 3 G35 sedans that I like, but they are moded: Marcus(Candlestick), Chris (G35PAPA) and NFSP.

Like I said I don't like 4 door cars, but if I had to pick between a stock G35 sedan and the new 2011 Maxima stock, I would pick the maxima.

I still stand behind my comment/opinion the 2011 maxima looks better then the G35 sedan. The only thing I don't like about the maxima is FWD, but then again I didn't buy my G for performance, all looks.

You have your opinion tell them to OP which ask for it, I don't care about what you think. I stated my opinion to OP and also told him to do whatever makes him happy, not what any of else think, including myself.
