2007-08 G35 sedan Takeda attack cold air intake?
I just installed the Injen on my 07 yesterday so I have little experience with them yet. I do like the sound and as far as hydro lock goes, yes they are more susceptible but seems with the splash guards in place it shouldn't be a problem, unless you drive through a foot of water.

Thanks Kul!,
I finally got through and they said they could order it for me but would not do the installation because it "deals with too much cutting parts etc". That's fine I was wanting to install it myself anyway, $525 +tax basically the price that they got off stillen.com. However they did have the gen 2 but that is about $500 more including installation. I'm going to go order it tomorrow when I have time to leave work. By the way I asked about warrenty issues and his statement was: "the only time you would run into any sticky issues with the warrenty not covering a part would be if the intakes sucked water in and possibly cause a mass air flow sensor to malfunction". That basically means that any brand intake would be ok to put on a vehicle with warrenty but just be cautious in bad weather conditions. I'm sure all of you already knew this but just wanted to reinstate it for those who are still a little curious!
Anyways, enough talk lets do this!!!

Congrats and good luck! The install on the gen 3 intake doesn't appear to be that difficult although there is some modification needed to the inlets. I have been driving around in the rain all day today and have had zero issues, as far as the hydrolocking was concerned.

Ya, work with Josh@stillen and he'll take care of you. He's top notch! I would for sure do gen 3!!! Huge difference... The cutting is minor (see my threads).
Thanks Kul!,

update:
so I went in today for just regular scheduled maintenance at sewell Infiniti and ordered the gen 3 stillen CAI and should be getting it in pretty soon. However, I spoke to Crest Infiniti and the gent there told me that if I install it myself it will void your warrenty and that we charge 200 for installation. I went ahead and got my second opinion at Sewell and my Advisor told me that no intake will void your warrenty, and that the only time your warrenty won't cover a fix would be if the aftermarket part was the cause of the issue etc. In general the feeling that I got was that crest infiniti was trying to a get a little chunk change lol no biggy. JOSH AT STILLEN WAS VERY HELPFUL!!!! Thanks brotha!
Thanks to everyone for looking out!
