CF Card File types? MP3 Only?

CF Card File types? MP3 Only?
My new (old) 08 G35 has the CF card reader. Does it only read Mp3 files?

I dumped a bunch of songs on a CF card and two out of three album folders dont show up and they are Mp4a files that dont show.

Pretty sure mp3 and actual Cd files (wma?). Keep in mind anything over 2gb won't show. So if you use a 16gb card, only 2gb will display

Never tried WMA's but those are supposed to work in addition to MP3s. I can't remember the top end bit-rate on MP3's.
mp3's top end on the compact flash are 320kbps (which sounds really good). still, i'm converting my cds to apple lossless and playing via ipod.
