When I used the ICC and the car uses the brakes to slow down when a car is detected, do the rear brake lights light up? Thanks in advance.

 

im 99.9% sure that they dont light up.

Yeah, I don't think they light up but I always wondered that.

 

I'v never been able to tell, but im fairly sure that they dont.

 

yup they do, i notice the reflection of my windshield brake light come on when the ICC kicks in

 

So has anyone had enough ballz to see how much the car will stop using ICC. I was doing 80 and had a car pull in front of me doing 55 and my car slammed on the brake but if they kept slowing down how slow would it take you?

 

ya so i tested the ICC yesterday with a friend following me while talking on the Bluetooth phone, the ICC will not bring you down to a complete stop it will bring you dont to 16mph and then turn off (i know the new FX have the ability to bring the car to complete stop but not ours.) and then its up to you.

And as for the brake light i tested that as well and as treacherous said, the brake light comes on only when the ICC actually uses the brake, if it lets off teh acc then it doesnt light up, you can actually here a loud click sound when your brakes are used by the ICC. So mystery solved i guess.
