Tyre Replacement Suggestions - G35 Sport '08

Hi,

it's time i replace the tyres on my G35-sport package [staggered wheel setup]. the originals have done about 34k miles and have been great [Bridgestone Potenza RE050]. thing is they are expensive [compared to the yokohama and the dunlops] im willing to spend up to $200 per tyre.
any suggestions?

Thanks

First off, congrats on getting 34k miles on your 050s, never heard anyone getting that far on those
Here's tireracks staggered setups for your S, I've heard good things about the Yoko S Drives, but if you got 34k on your 050s I'd just spend a bit more than $200 per and get the 050s again, IMO they're pretty good tires, mine only went 22k and were almost totally bald.

I really like my s drives... But will be going with Michelin PS2 now, about 100-150 more per tire, but they are AMAZING!!!!

Conti DWS has some pretty good reviews. Based on how much you got on your 050 suggest you don't do too much spirited driving. You'll get more than 34K out of the conti but i think they are $216 ish

What type of tire are you looking for? Some sort of high performance summer tire, or an all season performance tire? The RE050 is a summer tire, and if you had no issues with traction, tread wear (34k!!), and overall ride comfort... then you might as well go with another summer tire.

I just replaced my Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum all seasons with Bridgestone Potenza RE760Sport... $680 via Tirerack.com. So far I'm satisfied with the RE760Sport. Quiet, smooth, excellent traction is DRY and WET.

Besides the RE760Sport, I also looked into the Hankook Ventus V12. Looks like they also got good ratings, and are fairly cheap as well.

thanks guys for the very valuable advice. much appreciated. yea, though i have made an effort to preserve the tyres but to be honest i should have replaced them at least 5k miles ago.

since im living in a city which is in the middle of a desert with avg temps around the 110s for more than half the year, im looking for a high performance summery tyre. the RE760 sport sounds good and so does the michelin. but since i plan to go for a g37s next year i was thinking about a more economical option. the best i could come up here on short notice are the yoko advan sport [about $870] - worth it? or i could order the 760s or the S drive and wait a little.
