Trunk release button question

I can't open the trunk when pressing the trunk button on the rear of the car. What or which wires handles this? TIA

Yes it is.

I will have to look. Where is it located? I had an accident 2 years ago and the body shop kept giving me empty promises on fixing it.

When open, on the upper right side of the glove comaprtment is the valet switch, which disables both the deck lid and key fob buttons to open the boot.

If u can't open the trunk with the dash switch, then the lock is most likely engaged. If the dash switch works and the trunk button doesn't, then you've got other problems.

I'll check to see.

dash switch works. Maybe the cable is unhooked? Trunk was fixed after the accident. Either it being replaced or fixed, I have no idea.
