I want a 6MT

I have a 2007 g35x and I love the car and love modding it but I drove my friends brand new Camaro SS last night and **** Its freaking sweet. First off I need a 6mt.. after driving all of his cars including that one (he has 9 or 10) I have come to the conclusion that AT sucks. Why wont infiniti make a AWD 6mt? I need a AWD car for where I live and dont have the luxury to own two cars.. so my only options are audi and subaru (does bmw make a AWD MT?) Anyway.. just my little rant because after the summer I am going to sell my car and look for a new one. I would love to go to a g37 IPL if only they made it in 6mt AWD.. I may have to leave infiniti and go boy racer with an STI or maybe a 2007 AUDI RS4

Why can't you get around with RWD? I have no issues here in the great white north with a set of snow tires....

cant go wrong with rs4, but with proper winter tires RWD drives fine in snow, 4yrs without any problems getting stuck or anything.

+1

But seriously, AWD is for girls

I got mine before this winter (in MA), and we had the worst winter for quite some time. I was still the first one in the office every day it snowed, and I'm the only one driving a high horsepower RWD car, had no problems with "ultra high performance" all year tires (the specific models I got were rated higher then blizzaks/x-ice for ice traction, about the same for light/medium snow).

But if you have to do it, I've [heard about] an '04 STi in [some undisclosed location]. [Dumb, yes] That model year STi was capable of 158 mph with 3 people and a car full of hiking gear, so i heard. Just in case that matters to you...

Yes BMW offers AWD with 6mt. Also rwd with Snow tires is amazing as well.

Don't think BMW AWD is 6MT but Acura's TL SHAWD is and has 307 hp or 305 I forgot. Just so you know if you're ever in bumper to bumper traffic for miles you'll wish you had your automatic. Just gotta forewarn you of that

Ok BMW does have a 6MT with their 335ix so there you go, 2 more choices. GL

Thanks for the replys. Yeah I know all about snow tires in the winter for rwd cars and thats good to a point but I cant do it. My house is up on a giant hill. This means 1. The street leading to it is a huge hill that I cant get up in snow with rwd and the driveway is an even bigger hill which i cant get up in snow with rwd. My dad had a supra for a long time until it got stolen in the city and trust me no snow tires could make it get up my drivway. Even my friends mini cant do it. Rs4 would be awesome but it breaks down a crazy amount. The new tl is gross. And the bimmer im not crazy about.. I drove my friends m3 and I just dont love it. If I were to spend that kind of money on a car I would have to love it. The new sti however is mean looking.. drives like a beast has a ton of modding options and has a mod friendly dash which I hated not having in my current car.

Dude with your expensive particular tastes you'll regret getting a subaru no question. No perfect cars out there but I'd say go with what you really want- get the audi and put up with the repairs. Life is too short!

Oh and as a daily 6mt driver, the G manual trans is far from perfect....you'd be better off with a euro car. I love mine anyways though

The Gs MT is pretty good actually and better than many out there, i have driven MT audis 3.2s bmw 330i 335(good) mercs and many other less sporty cars and the feel of the G has been the best once you get a hold of it, high speed shifting has been the best amongst all that i have driven, obviously not comparing to higher end cars that i could never afford

The throws are near perfect and high clutch engagement works nicely at high rpms shifts but takes getting used to at lower rpms. I am not disagreeing with anyone, just sharing my opinion on the matter and im not an infiniti fanboy cause i will complain about their poor paint quality and interior material(plastic door handles etc) anyday

I just picked up a 05 g35 6mt and love every bit of it. I had a Brand new crossfire 6mt and loved it very much. I moved to auto and tried the MANUMATIC and never enjoyed it. The high engagement clutch is annoying since i am use to the opposite but finally getting the hang out if. No issues with getting the car into gear and second gear is very handy when rolling in bumper to bumper traffic. The benefits of 6mt for me were 18" sport wheel, VLSD, Higher HP motor and couple other minor details. Go with what your heart says and you will be happy. Keep in mind once you get away from Japanese vehicles your maintenance $$$ increases.

Porsche lol im 19. I wish. I can afford the other three.. if they are used..I wont consider the Acura because it looks like crap. It between the Audi and the sti.. Im leaning to the audi rs4 for 07 or 08
