Fogs in faux vent of a sport bumper

Here is the project that I want to start,
I want to put blazer projector fog light into fake lower vents of a sport bumber
here is the example

I know there is not alot of space there, especially on a passenger side because of windshield washer reservoir.
So my question is how much space is back there? is there at least 3-4 inches of space? note that in that picture they are not in the center, i want my fogs to be centered

I dont have an answer for you on how much room is behind there, but this is a mod, if done right, could look really nice. I've considered it myself. I just wonder if a LED strip, tastefully installed, not craptastically glued on, would look better.

I've thought the same thing, although with a non-sport bumper. I've seen a thread where someone has done it, but it wasn't very informative. If you end up doing it, I'm sure that I'm not the only one who'd love to see how you do it.

you, me and 124 12512345 other people on this forum are interested in the mod. I've done some light searching myself but couldnt really find any threads with enough information :/

I found this one guy that installed his into his sports bumper but it wasnt done very tastefully and he went all out paying like 900$ for them and I know this can be done way cheaper or I hope.

the reason why he paid that much was because he bought really expansive projector fogs, they were only 700$ i think
a cheaper way to go is blazer fog light kit from trs

the complete kit is 170
the other problem is installation, on a sports bumber if u want to put them in the vents that are closer to the edges and center them, there is a windshield washer tank behind passenger side vent, and it leaves around 2 inches of clearance, i have to measure to know exactly and that posses a real problem, cauz u have no space to put the fog in

well changing the bumper means alot of $$$$$$
and if u want the fogs in the location where the fogs are usually mounted, toward the outer edges, u'd still have space problem behind the bumper

Are those TRS fog lights as small as the picture posted in your op.? because the ones in the OP look really small.

I've not checked into it myself, but has anyone looked into the possibility of replacing the bottle with one from a later model year (since the new ones must allow more clearance there), or perhaps fabbing a modified mounting bracket to shift the position of the existing water bottle?

FWIW, I have had success in the past with heating an area of a washer bottle with a heat gun and "reforming" it to clear IC piping. Just a thought.

the new ones do in fact allow for more clearance, but the price for it is like 105$ on inifinitiparts
If anyone can get under the car remove the cover thats on the bottom and measure the distance, maybe we can go from there, I can do it because weather in NY is so ****ty, and gona stay this way for another week atleast
