Does the G lock itself when you walk away with the smart key?
Ha ha, thank you all! Very cool.
Yeah, I bought mine used with no owners manual. I bought a Haynes manual. I found the manual online, but I'm too lazy to read cover to cover. Which is bad, because I write documentation for a living.
Maybe one day I'll read it before bed to see if there are any surprises. But the "tips and tricks" thread probably covered them all already.

From what I've seen here and on other forums, the answer is an emphatic NO. There used to be a common refrain used on many forums (in response to obvious questions) of "RTFM", but it seems like I NEVER see it used any more. I think that's telling.
(No offense to the OP
)
I think there's something wrong with my car then. I haven't really counted how long it takes but I assume it takes about 30-45 seconds of me being away from the car for it to lock the door. Also I am not sure if once it locks the door the alarm is turned on.
lol, my first g didn't come with one, so this forum was my manual.
You can also adjust the settings in your car to where you press the little black button once to open all doors, instead of having to hit it twice. And i love the auto-window roll down feature, it rocks for hot Florida weather.

The g35 manual link at infinitiusa.com provides a PDF only for VIN numbers lower than mine.
