Hi all, first post here.

I have a 2008 G35xS and recently took a rock through the "mesh" on the front bumper.

Dealer says this is integrated into the bumper and will have to buy a new bumper for 3xx.00 and have it painted.

Is there a way around this? Aftermarket inserts?

Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

 

I haven't seen any aftermarket inserts for the "fake mesh" in the bumper, but I think I saw someone with a journey that swapped it with an active mesh (like with actual holes) they made. I havent seen any for sports though....

 

I have added aluminum mesh over a fairly large area on the front bumper of another type car before with good success. I should think that it's totally do-able over such a small area on the G.
