problem is when you see a bunch on the road and want to feel a bit more unique and show more character, then the modding begins.
Agreed, I cringe everytime I see a soccer mom bringing her kids to practice in the same car as me, sucks bc she probably doesn't appreciate the car for what it is. Now I've got tints and well under way in the process of a drop and rims. I blame the forum for my depleted savings...but damn I love my car!

My car has been bone stock ever since I got it back in 07 and it's going to stay this way. I was into fixing up cars before but anymore. Stock isn't all that cool, but when your car gets stolen, accident. etc.... having a fixed up car causes a lot of complications...

I'm not stock, but I'm pretty close.

-I bought the car with tint.
-I did drop it because I hate unacceptable wheel gap.
-I debadged it because I love the look, and hate detailing around those rear letters!
-And I actually am one of the few who really like the stock sport 18's...

So I plan to keep it like this, until its no longer owned by da bank.

I agree completely, mine's CPO so i don't want to lose out on any warranty items that might not be covered b/c of my modding. Plus until you have the title it's someone else's car(technically) And i really like my stock 18 sport wheels.

Anyone know where that forum went that has the legal rights to mod cars while keeping warranty intact?? The last links i clicked on were dead.

I picked up my 08 IP xS 3 weeks..wow time files make it 4 weeks ago on saturday. One owner car with 29k on the odometer when I took delivery. It came with the sport wheels and the splash guards on it. One week after ownership I got it tinted.. 35 on the sides 20 on the back window. I also picked up a 6yr 80k mile warranty from Courtney from Infinity of Scottsdale.

I have been drooling over these forums even before I bought the car. Lots of great ideas and help from other owners! I would love to do some other mods but for now I am going to work on paying it off.

Going to do the LEDs inside and thinking about a rear window spoiler(no trunk spoiler). Winter mods will be a SmartStart as I live in NY and we get lots of cold weather and snow. I stopped at a local stereo shop yesterday to get a quote on keeping the headunit and replacing the Bose speakers with some components and a sub or 2... $2500 they said. For now that money will go towards 1/4 of the loan I took out.

Only thing really holding me back in the warranty...I don't want to change anything that will void the warranty I bought, and there is only one Infinity dealer around where I live so working different service managers isn't an option...

Car is plenty nice stock..but I do like the cosmetic mods to make each our own!
