Throw out bearing...

As many of you guys i had my clutch replaced recently. No problems with the clutch but there is a chattering noise and when my clutch is not depressed in neutral there is a noise,...

I went to my local shop and he said it was the release bearing ( throw out bearing)

When i got my clutch and flywheel replaced i did not changed out the release bearing... yea i know mistake...

Now my question is where could i buy a release bearing, a mechanic told me i should get the oem one.

you can get a new one but let me tell you that the AM clutch kits(w/lighter flywheel) are famous for making a lot of clutch chattering on our Gs. I suggest you check out a few youtube vids on Gs with AM clutch chattering before spending the money to this since it might be unnecessary else if its a different sound and you/local shop are convinced that its the throwout bearing that would cure the issue then go for it but it will be some labor. You can find from many vendors here or infiniti parts usa.

I say all this cause I really doubt that the shop that did you clutch change did not inspect your bearing when the tranny was out, its hard to miss really.

Go to infinitipartsusa, enter your car year and model and the in search box type "release bearing" and it will list the part which comes with slave cylinder. Also just to be sure the Throw out is the one that pushes on the plate springs and pilot bearing resides on the crankshaft so make sure you get the right one
