Ok, looking at the 08 6MTs and am getting a headache from the options.

As I understand it, obviously it will be a Sport.

If it has nav does that mean it also has the Journey package? What exactly does the Journey package included?

this is a sales rep question,ask a dealerships sales manager n they'll answer all your questions about packages.im not being mean just honest,good luck to you man

 

I've called several dealers for cars that I've seen listed and they don't seem to know much about the different packages. Was hoping I could find some guidance here.

i have a 08 journey,with premium package,premium package includes bose speakers studio on wheels heated front seats sunroof and telescoping steering wheel.
and if it has a nav it doesnt mean it has a journey package.nav is just extra $$$.
theres allot of packages its allot to explain.

just tell the sales person what you want and they should help you.
tell them like this: I want a g35 sport sedan with a navigation system..
If you get a g35 sport sedan its called g35S, not journey

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options

The 2008 Infiniti G35 entry-level sport luxury sedan comes in four trim levels: base, G35 Journey, G35 Sport 6MT and G35x. Base models come standard with 17-inch alloy wheels; xenon headlights; keyless ignition; automatic climate control; leather upholstery; power front seats and six-speaker audio with a CD/MP3 player, satellite radio and an auxiliary audio jack. The Journey trim builds on this equipment with automatic headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, an upgraded passenger seat and a six-CD changer. The G35x is equipped similar to the Journey, but adds standard heated front seats and mirrors. Sport models are similar to the Journey as well, but have a sport-tuned suspension, larger brakes, 18-inch wheels, a limited-slip differential and sport seats.

Infiniti offers a variety of options for the upper three trims. A Premium Package adds a sunroof, power steering column, driver-position memory, Bluetooth, heated seats and mirrors (for non-G35x models), a Bose premium audio system and a dedicated iPod interface. One can also get a rearview camera and a hard drive-based navigation system with real-time traffic and digital music storage capability. (The six-CD changer moves from the dash to the trunk.) When equipped with the above features, a Technology Package becomes available, which includes adaptive cruise control and adaptive headlights. A four-wheel-steering feature is offered for the Journey and Sport only. You can also get much of the Sport's specialized standard equipment as part of an optional sport package on the Journey and G35x.

Ok think I got it now. Lots of options which are somewhat confusing. Buying a 6MT I'll definitely be getting a sport, but there are still other options like adding the Journey, tech package, etc.

What is the four wheel steering all about?

 

It pretty much turns in the rear wheels by a small degree to help get around a corner at speed.

 

Big deal to have? How can you tell if a car has it?

 

Honestly, I just think it is pretty much adds one more line of information under the spec sheet. I think members with and without it would pretty much agree.

This is the only feature that mine did not have but I believe that upon startup you will see a "4WAS" on the display.

 

If you want sport just tell the dealers that and all the other option you want w/ it.
