Changed my battery, and now problems

Changed my battery and now ive lost the beeps on unlock and lock. assuming i just hold lock and unlock until they come back?? My AC is also now always in the off setting when i start the car no matter if it was on or not the last time i turned it off, and its always defaulted to 75 when i turn it on. any ideas?

No u need to reprogram the beeps. It's in the user manual on how to reset that. My battery crapped out at the body shop. I got a new battery and had the same problem. I think you have to hold lock and unlock together for more than 2 or 3 seconds and the car will honk back at you. It changes the beep and and the light flash when you do that.

i believe holding the lock and unlock buttons on the keyfob at the same time will make the car beep again.

^ you believe almost correctly, I think it is only lock button that you need to hold to change to beep or no beep lock unlock option.

Yea I tried holding both but the beeps never return. I get the honk though. Still not sure about the ac problem. Possibly a fuse maybe? There's a fuse box right next to the battery.

The honk is normal. I assume you have keyless entry buttons on the doors and trunk? If so, try them and see.

im starting to think that i tripped a fuse or something when i replaced the battery. i just tried leaving it in drive and turning off the car (i know not supposed to but doesnt hurt the car) which normally gives me a shrill rapid beeping noise. the same one used for the door beeps. i got nothing. my avg MPG and MPH on my dash now do not store information inbetween drives. every time i turn my car off that data is reset to dash marks.

Ok, that sounds like something popped. You might want to start looking at fuses under the kick panel. Not sure which one.

I think the back side of the fuse panel cover has it laid out too.

I just read the manual a few days ago about the alarm notification system. You have to hold the Lock and Unlock buttons on the keyfob for two to three seconds. If the beeps and honks are off, you will hear a honk. If the beeps and honks were on, you will only see lights flash.

If you got the honk, the system was confirming to you that audible notifications are enabled.
