mine does the same, except it'll work the first time i start the car....i heard its kinda common, take it in they should fix it under warranty if u still got it!

shifter assembly is what needs to be replaced... not covered under powertrain warranty.

Of course it's a warranty issue, what makes you think it isn't?

Mine is going into the shop for repair on Wednesday for the very same thing.

They quoted me at $800 ... But I was a month outta warranty so they fixed it np... I got a feeling that this is a common issue ... My opinion

Well, if you're out of warranty, you can't expect them to fix anything for free. However, if the car's in warranty, of course it's covered.

And it seems to be a common issue. Good thing I got the extended warranty

Wtf??? Powertrain doesn't cover it????? Isn't this a part of a transmission? ??

Yeah I was surprised too... They said it's an electrical issue and doesn't relate to the actual transmission. Is your warranty up?

always drive that part of the 405 what song is playing OP sounds chill like sound providers or something. oh yeah good luck with your problem, dealership for sure if you are under warranty

that's not right... take it to the dealership, and do what you can to get it replaced under warranty. A 2008 car shouldn't be like that.

^+1 go make Infiniti pay for everything... I take mine in for the slightest noise and abuse a loaner while they work on it

Oh if you have an 08 with 30k... I don't see what the worry is , they will fix it no questions asked.
