V1 laser falses

On my way home I got one or two laser falses while using the adaptive cruise....usually when I got close to another car.

Today I got a bunch of falses and didn't even have cruise on. I turned the adaptive headlights off and I'm still getting a lot of them.

Is it something else? Placement, etc?

Right in the middle of the windshield about six inches off the dash.

You will probably have to mount it under the rear view mirror and send the detector back to Valentine. They will probably have to mod it a little to accommodate our cars. My friend has a V1 + Mike's Mount and the car sets off the laser like no other.

The 9500IX is no different, but to prevent it from false alarms you have to put electrical tape right under the sensors.

Seems like the V1 gives off more false alarms than my $100 Cobra from walmart...funny cause people are always ranting about how the V1 never gives false alarms...LOL

Well the only thing that will make a laser false is laser....so in this case since my car is transmitting laser it will get a lot of falses.

However it DOES give a TON of K band falses...super annoying since I'm moving to OK and they use mainly K band.

BUT....it gives way more range than my Escort did...tested them both on a trip.....and since I drive 5K a month on the highway its worth it to me.

The Escort had a lot of other features that I liked better...not to mention the V1 is just plain ugly....but when I'm going down the highway its all worth it.

Ok back on task here people....how do I avoid these falses?

Unless it can auto-learn like the Escort then I don't see anyway of avoiding it..
