If its only 90-120 gettem bro its not alot.
i bought them for my wifes car and you get better acceleration.
you only gotta clean them every 50000 miles and they last a million miles.
for sure your car is going to breed better.
at K&N store they have a tube with a ping pong ball, with a normal filter and a K&N filter, the K&N makes the ball rise and the other one doesnt

I went with the AFE 5r, blue drop in filter. $60 each, I've owned a couple of K&N drop in filters in the past and while they held up remarkable well but left me wanting a lil bit more. Without changing to a full intake system, I'm afraid of hydro lock and don't want to spend $500. Here's the review- nice looking filters, fit properly and look like they will last a long time. Performance while not breath taking is about what I experienced with previous K&N'S. with seat of the pants testing it my feel slightly more power, maybe 1-2 extra horses? Fuel economy about the same so far. I've only had the AFE'S in 2months but not regretting my purchase. The fact that they are cleanable and will not need to be replaced is good enough for me.

I've been using them since I bought this car last year. Nothing to report, nothing different that you will see. Just a mod to prevent you from continuously having to buy new air filters.

i've never been a fan of the k&n filters. Yes it flows better, but that means more dirt gets past the filters. You'll find more build up in the intake manifold and throttle body than the OEM paper filters. Im good with loosing a couple HP.

Hmm...never knew that but good to know now. I've bought K&N filters for my previous cars but am wondering if the $120 (give or take a few $) is worth it. Does anyone know where there is some data to show increased hp, mileage on our car?

You won't, it's a marketing statement that has done its job since lots of folks buy into it. Now if we're talking CAI there may be data that shows a 1-3 HP increase, eitherway that's nothing that'll translate into street driving.
