Im very far from stock and I get compliments every day. Somtimes its people who know me from online.. people who own a G... people who cant tell what it is and like it.. etc.

 

Got way more compliments when I had my 1st Gen coupe than with the 2nd Gen sedan I have now. Every where I went, gas station, store...etc, I got compliments on the coupe and i was completely stock. Nothing now with the sedan.

 

I do believe I'd have to beat the guy who I catch doing that to my car.

I still get compliments from time to time... even made a thread about it a few years back.

My favorite was this one...
So, I spent the weekend cleaning the G. I finished up with a few coats of wax this morning and later in the day, I needed to swing by the grocery store. On the way home, I decided to stop for gas. I drove through an intersection and up on my right, I noticed a cop's car in a parking lot. As I approach and pass by, he started pulling out behind me. I immediately start wondering if I went through too fast.
I pull in and up next to a pump and as I get out, I notice the cop pulling in slowly. I swipe my credit card and there he is, backing into a parking spot behind me... just sitting there staring at me.
A minute goes by and he slowly pulls up next to me and rolls the window down. I made sure not to make eye contact until I heard "So, is that an 09?"
I look up and I said " No, an 07" He was very surprised and said that the car looked brand spanking new. He's like "Damn, that's a good looking car".
We ended up talking for about ten minutes. We were comparing the G to the Lexus IS250 that he also likes and it was a very funny conversation because I had to try hard to not talk performance. I can't just come out with "Dude, this car would smoke an IS250! He's heading to the dealership to test drive the convertible coupe.

I thought I was busted, but it turned out to just be a cop with an appreciation for nice cars.

Today was my first day at work with my G 2.0
I upgraded from a 2004 G to a 2008. People came up to me in the parking lot and were admiring. From people that know me and my old car, the most common comment was, "Your new car is sooo much nicer!!" and it is. I love this thing. I've gotten a lot more head turns with my new G, especially when I step on it. Considering I've had this thing for 3 days, that's not too bad. Hopefully more nice comments are in store.

 

Once in a while, but mostly they laugh about my plates...don't look at the bodywork or anything you bastich's!

 

A couple... not really anything to write home about though lol
