I have an 08 g sedan with Injen CAI sp1997,i want to replace the filters.

Why do you need to replace the filters? Aren't they cleanable? I have the same ones and honestly didn't read the paperwork.

 

You don't need new filters unless yours are bent/destroyed. Pick up a K&N filter cleaning kit, your filters will look brand new once you clean it.

Yeah I had to remove mine completely to install them. Doesn't appear to be any easy way to get them off without removing it to clean them. If you have a better idea I would certainly love to hear it. Like I said the dread is setting in lol.

 

^ i havent seen these installed myself but im pretty sure you can access these by removing the front grill(5-10min job DIY on this site) quite easily unless they wont fit through the opening...

 

I'm pretty sure they won't fit through the grill, and they aren't located anywhere near the grill either.

 

^ Opps my bad, i mixed the injen ones(behind the bumper) with the Stillen 3G which are behind the grill, my bad... i guess that would be a pita

 

get aem dry flow filters. its oil free

 

I posted some pics of my install in one of the intake threads lol, it wasn't fun. But hey I knew that when I bought em. I figured I'll clean em once a year.

Im a pro at removing the bumper it takes me less than 30 min,
I need new filters because the filter was hitting a clip and it has a hole.

 

^ yikes that is super bad, u dont want it to suck up something and mess up your car, get er done quickly!!

 

Indeed. I'm pretty sure you can use any conical filter though.

 

^whs, its all about the inlet pipe size which i would assume would be 3" like most in which case any conical filter with 3" inlet should serve you just fine.
