aftermarket 17s

Does anybody ride on any aftermarket 17's. I would like to stick with the stock size because i do not want to lower my car. The school I teach/coach at has crazy high speed bumps.

Would it even be a good idea? Im thinking they might look funny or out of whack.

Thanks!

Why not get 19s or 20s? It wont make your car any lower.

Because 19/20's without a drop looks like a$$ is what he's referring to.

Like Buddie said you can get 19 or 20s and have no drop at all since the tire size would be smaller helping you keep the same stock diameter, however if you're actually planning on sticking with 17s cause u think 19/20s would look worse without a drop then thats not the case as MANY members here and on other forums have 19/20s without a drop and they look better than stock sizes.

However, they will obviously look better with a drop but since you would have the same diameter as stock they will look much better than any aftermarket 17s, imo aftermarket 17s will look "out of whack"

Here's mine with 20s without a drop, i think it looks good but they would obviously look MUCh better with a drop

Aftermarket 17"s would definitely look "OUT OF WHACK"!!!! Just find yourself some 18"s stock wheels! You could find them with tires for around $700 even better if you find yourself some 19" OEM coupe wheels!

I was just thinking since everybody highly recommends a drop on other posts i have searched that without a drop would look awful...but that picture definately proves other wise. Whats ur tire size on the 20's btw?

^ now you're making sense, would be no point in putting aftermarket wheels the same size as the stock size. It looks like Kool Yaar is rocking a staggered set up w/ his 20's, looks damn good w/ out the drop but as he stated would look much better with one. Don't however rule out a drop just bc of some narly speed bumps. You could do a conservative drop and you would probably be fine unless these speed bumps are unusually large.

They are unsually large. I bottom out my car going over them everytime. I teach at a small country school where everybody drives monster trucks so they are there for that reason.

if you plan to go aftermarket, please dont go with 17s. Its not that they're the same size as OEM but they're smaller than OEM 18s and 19s that look great on these cars.

I would go with 18's or 20s for aftermarket wheels. 20's may cost more than 19s for rims but tires for 20s will be cheaper.
