I'm looking to buy a 2007 G35x. Are there any known issues with this particular model? Does this model comes with a timing belt, which needs to be replaced after certain nos of kms, or with a timing chain, which does not need replacement? Anything I should check in the vehicle before buying? What is the current market price of this model?

The VQ35HR engine does not have a timing belt. It uses a chain which doesn't have any scheduled replacement interval. If you toast your timing chain, your engine is probably toast too.
